Ethiopia, Southern Ethiopia, Omo Valley. A small Omotic tribe related to the Hamar, who live along the banks of the Omo River in southwestern Ethiopia, the Karo are renowned for their elaborate body painting using white chalk, crushed rock and other natural pigments. This man also has a clay hairdo typical of tribal elders.
